Princess Lucaj is an actor/writer/director from the beautiful land of Alaska.

Princess most recently finished directing the original play by Allison Warden and Jack Dalton, "Time Immemorial", at Cyrano's Theater in Anchorage, Alaska . This summer she will be writing the script for Longhouse Media's Superfly Program (www.superflyfilmmaking.com) and working as an actor with the The Last Fontier Theater Conference in Valdez, Alaska.

This summer you can catch Ms. Lucaj in the independent film, "Uncross the Stars" starring Barbara Hershey and Ron Perlman on DVD. Other acting credits include "Jericho" (CBS), "Lynx", "Massacres at Mystic" (THC) and the award-winning "Pow Wow Dreams", a short film she wrote, directed, and acted in was produced through the Creative Spirit Script-to-Screen competition (www.nativefilm.com) and has screened at over a dozen film festivals.

Drawing on her rich heritage, Princess has a great love for storytelling and has had the privilege of being a Sundance Fellow where she had the opportunity to work with such greats as Robert Redford, Alfonso Cuaron, and Stewart Stern. In addition, she has also been a PEN Emerging Voices/Rosenthal Fellow where she had the honor of being mentored by writer and filmmaker, Sherman Alexie.

In addition to her filmmaking endeavors, Princess takes pride in her community involvement. She has been a mentor and workshop leader through Native Voices at the Autry, WriteGirl, AFN's Youth & Elder's Conference, and Outward Bound. She currently sits on the Screen Actor's Guild National Task Force for the American Indian and works with the Indigenous Leadership Institute in Alaska.
